Believers experience peace differently than the world. We recognise peace comes to us in the midst of trails. God unexplainable peace is made known to us in the seasons we need it most.
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything
exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds
as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4.7
As you enter this week of Advent, may you find peace in the
promise that is to come. The narrative leading toward the birth of Jesus continues
this week with the lineage of Abraham. His story ushers in the patriarchs and
the time of the Judges. Hard things are ahead, but through it all, God is their
source of peace.
Lord God, You are the covenant-keeping God. The promises You
give to Your people bring peace to me today. May I see them clearly and rest
there in the challenges of life. It is in the hard times that I know You are
with me and know Your peace. In Jesus’s name, Amen
