Deliverance from Sins
He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
MICAH 7.19
When it seems that your failures, even your sinful actions, have the upper hand in your life, it becomes easy to get discouraged. It may feel like your Father is a long way from you in those moments. It is in those moments that you need to remind yourself of the truth.
“He will again have compassion on us.” Your Father never becomes exasperated with you. His love for you is the cause for unending patience and continuous compassion. You are His precious child, and when he sees you in danger of being hurt by a sinful deed, He stands ready to rush to your assistance.
Like a natural father would rush toward his little child who was about to pick up a poisonous snake, your heavenly Father rushes to you when you’re on the brink of disaster. Look to Him and He will “tread [your] iniquities under foot.” His heart toward you is never to shame or punish you, but to deliver you from the sin that would destroy you.
Call out to Him in times of temptation. Run to Him when you feel overcome by your own failures. His compassion will make things right.
