Grace Grace!

 Grace, Grace!

This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the LORD of hosts. “What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’ ”

ZECHARIAH 4.6-7

When the angel of God spoke about the obstacles that Zerubbabel would face in rebuilding the temple, He reminded him that the progress made wouldn’t be a result of his own might or power but because of the Spirit of God. Spiritual barriers are never overcome by sheer human willpower. Our source is His Spirit, not our own strength.

What is the means by which we level the mountains of opposition that threaten our reaching the goals our God has given us? It is grace, the divine enablement of His Spirit within us. As you survey the mountain that lies before you, compare its size to God, not your personal strength. Zerubbabel did and, with that perspective, could cry out, “What are you, O great mountain?”

God assured him that he would overcome it with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” Speak grace into the towering obstacles of your life and watch what His power can accomplish. Grace is always your strength, whatever you face in life.
