Can God make bad things turn out okay?

 We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son. 

Roman 8.28-29

 

When bad things happen to you. God promises to do a surprising thing, make good comes out of bad! When you love God, he makes everything in your life happen the way he plans it.(Romans 8.28) That doesn’t mean that God will always help you get right out of bed when you’re sick. And he won’t help you remember maths facts you didn’t take the time to learn. Sometimes God does quickly save you from your troubles, but not always. 

But there is one good thing God plans to bring out of every bad thing you face, he wants to help you learn to think and act like his Son, Jesus.(Romans 8.29) God always helps you and holds you in his arms when you hurt. And the very best thing he is doing for you is making sure that everything that happens in your life helps you become more like Jesus!
