How did Jesus come back to life?

Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. 

Romans 1.4

 

When Jesus came back to life, it was an event that was completely different from anything that had ever happened. A dead person had never before had the power to come to life and leave his grave. Lazarus had come out of his grave.(John 11.38-44) But he hadn’t done it alone, it was through Jesus’s power. 

After Jesus’s body was placed in a tomb, we can be sure what happened, Jesus left the tomb, so it was empty. We know all about who did it, our Saviour, Jesus. The Bible clearly explains why Jesus came back to life, this event provides proof of who he is. But how did Jesus do it? That’s a mystery. In fact, it’s a miracle! The Bible does say that God the Father raised up Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God is the only power in the world big enough to win the battle over death. 

 

 

We don’t have to understand exactly how God raised his Son, Jesus, from the dead to know that Jesus is truly alive. Most of us don’t really know how cars work, yet we ride in them. Most of us don’t have a clue how computers work, yet we use them and sometimes crash them! Even if we don’t always understand the working of the Spirit, the amazing news is that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead will raise us to life in heaven!(Romans 8.11)
