Is God really interested in my problems?

People, trust God all the time. Tell him all your problems, because God is our protection.

Psalm 62.6

Pictures of the yourself as a infant school child sitting at the kitchen table working on a word list. The words aren’t much harder than ball and dog, but you’re having a hard time. Then your older sister comes over and says, “I can help you with that.” Your sister is a big help because she had to do this when she was in infant school too. And she knows more than you know. God is like that, only better. Because God sent his Son, Jesus, to earth to live as a human being, you can trust that he understands everything that bothers you. He wants to help with your problems, and has the power to do it!

Many of us do bad things to get attention when we feel others are not paying attention to us. How about coming up with a family phrase, that each member can use when they need help or someone to come round. When someone hears this phrase from another family member, the two of them can then stop and talk to God together, asking him for wisdom on how to handle the problem. In that way we can show each other God’s always available love by making an effort to pay attention to each other’s concerns.
